Originating in China, Ginkgo
Biloba, also known as the ginkgo tree, is the world's oldest living tree
species. Its longevity is attributed to its ability to withstand insects,
disease and pollution due to the pharmacologically-active compounds in its
leaves. The Chinese have long taken Ginkgo Biloba, particularly the elderly.
Ginkgo extract is obtained solely
from the leaves, and extensive studies have been conducted on it. Ginkgo helps to maintain the
circulation of the blood which helps to keep hands and feet warm, helps maintain
the brain's oxygen supply, and thus helps maintain brain function.
