NATURTINT PERMANENT HAS
NO AMMONIA OR RESORCINOL
Do Strand & Skin Test
before colouring hair (one should do this every time colour is used)
If blisters, burns or
swelling are experienced avoid Naturtint permanent, and try
Naturtint
Reflex
N = Natural G
= Golden A = Ash M = Mahogany C = Copper
R = Red
(9R should be labelled as 5R i.e. treat like a 5 for depth of
colour)
Colour Selection 1 = darkest
---------------------------------------------> 10 =
lightest
SELECTING CORRECT COLOUR
Only use
Ash colours as mixers with Natural & Golden shades
Darker
Can go as dark as you
like. If in doubt choosing between 2 colours, opt for the lighter
colour.
Lighter
Can only lighten 1 or 2
numbers (on colour chart) at a time, so if person is naturally a 6N,
then should not use anything lighter than an 8N or 8G.
If person is very grey or white best to avoid 10N & 10A (unless mixed
with other colours).
Covering Grey should
cover completely
Select colour from chart
nearest to persons own colour (usually from the Natural (N) colours).
If in doubt, go lighter, or opt for an even lighter colour as a
lighter shade is much more flattering against ageing skin & grey hair
regrowth is less obvious.
Using Naturtint Permanent
Hair Colourant
In each box of hair dye
there is a small bottle that
contains the actual hair colourant and a larger bottle that contains the
colour developer. Must always mix them in equal amounts.
Need not use whole box
each time you use Naturtint hair colour eg.
- if you are just touching
up your roots
- if you have short hair
- if you are mixing different colours
In a separate bowl, just mix up the amount of colourant and colour
developer that you require, leaving the remaining colourant and colour
developer separately in their own individual bottles with their tops on
and they will both keep for several months.
MIXING COLOURS
Do Strand Test - using
droplets of the colourants and their respective colour developers, mix
the 2 different colours and place hair strands in the small amount of
mixture.
Once the correct proportions have been established (usually 50:50),
prepare enough to cover the hair in question.
Common mixtures are used
to overcome the following undesired results:
If tend to go too red,
golden, brassy, yellow then mix in equal amounts of an Ash colour
with 6N, 7N, 8N use 8A OR
with 9N or 10N use 10A.
To tone down reds 4M, 5M or 7M - mix in similar number of a Natural
(N) colour.
Never mix Mahogany colours with Ash colours.
To mellow coppers 7C or 8C mix in similar number of a Natural (N)
colour.
Naturint Reflex
Colour Rinse
is a semi permanent hair colour which contains no ammonia, resorcinol, peroxide or PPD. 9
colours are offered, all available in our Haircare section.
But please note, they cannot be mixed, they last 6/7 washes and they may
not cover grey completely. |
