Necessary precautions and useful
advice before use
- Always carry out the
sensitivity tests and
strand tests
- Never use Naturtint Permanent Hair
Colourant if the scalp is irritated, sore or has any cuts or
abrasions.
- Never use Naturtint Permanent Hair
Colourant on eyelashes or eyebrows. Rinse immediately if mixture
accidentally comes into contact with them. Seek medical advice if
irritation persists.
- Always use all of the mixture or
empty unused portion properly and throw away container as leaving it
to stand may
cause it to burst.
- Always apply the product
immediately after preparing the mixture.
- Never mix Naturtint with other hair
colour products.
- Always wear gloves provided
throughout colour process.
- Aways wait 48 hours before using
product on permed hair or a week on straightened hair.
- Always keep product away from heat
and light.
- Aways use plastic or glass utensils
- never metal or ceramic.
- Always avoid contact with porous
surfaces and clothes as permanent staining may occur.
- Never use product on top of hennas,
semi-permanent hair colours, colour restorers or metallic dyes. Wait
until semi permanent has washed away as it could cause hair
discolouration.
Always keep out of the reach of
children.
Sensitivity Test
Naturtint
Permanent Hair Colourant is highly unlikely to cause any form of
allergic reaction. However, on rare occasions, hair colourant products
can cause individuals to suffer sensitivity reactions. It is for this
reason that a sensitivity test must be carried out at least 48 hours
before colouring the hair. Simply follow these steps:
- Cleanse a small area
of skin inside the bend of the elbow with soap and water.
- In a plastic or glass
container, mix a capful of Naturtint Permanent Hair Colourant and
Colour Developer then apply with a cotton swab.
- Allow to dry and leave
untouched for 48 hours. Use the remaining mixture to carry out the
strand text next.
- You may use the
colourant if no allergic reactions occur. *

NOTE: IF ANY BURNING, ITCHING, SWELLING OR IRRITATIONS APPEAR IN OR
AROUND THE TEST AREA,
DO NOT CONTINUE WITH THE COLOURING PROCESS.

Strand Test
In order to
assess the selected tone and development time required to achieve it,
simply carry out the following test:
- Take about one inch or
3 centimetres of hair
- Apply the mixture
remaining from senstivity test a few moments ago
- In most cases, rinse
hair being tested after 20 minutes. In the case of strong or more
resistant grey hair, leave for a further 10 minutes
- When strand of
hair reaches desired shade, take note of the total colour development
time. Discard any unused mixture as this cannot be applied later
